Becky Brillon, MS-HRM

Tuesday January 24th 2012 at 7:00pm
Wheaton, Illinois Institute of Technology - Rice Campus, Room 103

Abstract

Current estimates place networking as the most important tool in a successful job search. Factually, 80-85% of jobs landed are through networking. Attending job clubs and having a solid elevator speech is important face-to-face, but in addition and behind the scenes job seekers should incorporate LinkedIn(R).

Do not underestimate the power of LinkedIn(R). Knowing how to build an effective profile, connect with others, and utilize group discussion and job boards is extremely important.

Becky Brillon will provide a demonstration presentation of LinkedIn(R) and answer questions. Learn a few intermediate tips and make the most of this tool so it can work for you.

Topics covered in the presentation include:

Once we have finished, we will adjourn to nearby Cozymel's Mexican restaurant for food and drinks.
