Abstract

This event is free and open to the public. Google Maps directions to get to the meeting: https://goo.gl/HHpwGu>/.

The fundamentals behind Argonne’s first exascale computer coming in 2021 will be covered. Ti will touch upon how it is envisioned that scientists will use the new machine named Aurora to pursue some of the farthest-reaching science and engineering breakthroughs ever achieved with supercomputing. He will show how Aurora will support machine learning and data science workloads alongside traditional modeling and simulation workloads. He will also discuss what he sees for future supercomputers and architectures.

As usual we will be having a "Meeting After the Meeting" for talk and drinks, and we are planning it to happen at the Rock Bottom restaurant in the Bolingbrook Promenade mall. The link goes to the restaurant's Bolingbrook website, but if you want a direct link to a map for directions starting at the library use this link.
