Perl for the Web

Abstract

An evening discussing the various ways perl can help you build and maintain your web presence. We will look at the various ways perl can be used to build both static and dynamic web pages, including mod-perl. Perl can also be used to check your site and analyse your logs. All this and more, anything relating to perl and the web is on the menu.

Speaker Bio

Burke has been programming computers for 25 years. He has been developing Internet based applications for 8 years. Recent projects have included been building a system to hide discreet data sources from consumer applications via HTTP and XML. Burke Gallagher, is currently with Petco Petroleum, where he uses perl to coax oil and gas from the earth.

Take 355 to Butterfield Rd (Rt 56).
Take Butterfield West to Lambert Rd, then Lambert Rd North to College Rd.
Turn left and look for Lots 11 or 12 on the right side of College Rd.
Walk north to Building M, room 147 is on the north end of the building.
