Ruby is a powerful language and Ruby on Rails is a solid platform to develop web applications and being able to use the right tool for the job can make the difference for a successful project. Of course there are team implications introducing a complete new language to the project and the introduction must be done incrementally. JRuby, Buildr, rSpec and the Story Runner are great tools to build a solid Java development infrastructure and maybe preparing the field for an effective Rails migration. In this presentation you'll see working examples of Ruby driven Java development starting from a pure text user story with scenarios, creating rSpec specifications, down to the Java code that makes those scenarios to pass.
